Davit & Tender

Nick Jackson davit · AVON RIB

Nick Jackson Co. 600 lb Low Profile Davit

Cranes the dinghy off the boat and into the water. 600 lb (272 kg) capacity, low-profile so it doesn't clutter the deck or block sightlines, electric winch with brake, and cradles/straps that hold the tender secure underway. Easy for one person to operate.

AVON Rover 3.10 RIB

A 10 ft (3.10 m) rigid-hull inflatable tender with outboard: stable, dry and quick between the boat and shore. Seats 4–5, light enough for the davit, and rated for outboards up to around 15 hp.

Launching the tender

  1. Check the davit breaker and remote.
  2. Rig the lifting bridle; release the cradle straps.
  3. Raise slightly, swing out over the water, lower under control.
  4. Keep a painter on the dinghy before unhooking.
